Systems Alliance Carriers

The three Carrier types the Systems Alliance had during and bejond the Reaper War.

EINSTEIN CLASS:
The 940 meter long Einstein class is the oldest Carrier type in service of the Alliance military. It is built in 2149, eight years before the First Contact War with the Turians. Like the Everest class Dreadnought, only three of them were ever built. The Einstein, the Hawking and the Davis. The Einstein is a mobile Base and act as packhorse for the new human colonies and outposts which are etablished quickly after the discovery of the Charon Mass Relay. Her superior cargo capacity makes her a excellente transport ship for founding new colonies. To that time the ship doesnt have much military purpose, because there are no rival for the Systems Alliance beside a short period where the Einstein was stationed on Mars to fight a terrorist group called "Red Sand".
The Einstein class is a typical aircraft carrier with a hullsize hangarbay wich is with 800 m nearly the size of the ship itself. She carries several hundred Starfighter, Shuttles, Dropships, Tanks and armored vehicles as main armament. Her own weapons consist only of 8 Twin Hypervelocity-Railguns (mid Range) to guard the entry lanes of the Hangardecks and a dozen of GARDIAN Laser (low Range) to deflect enemy rockets or Intercept Fighters.

TERESHKOVA CLASS:
The Tereshkova class is a big Dreadnought sized starship built by the Systems Alliance to work around the Treaty of Farixen. That Treaty limited the numbers of Dreadnoughts each Species are allowed to build, so the Alliance developed the Tereshkova class, a ship, more armed and armored than a heavy cruiser but still with the main purpose to carry large amounts of fighters, shuttles and bombers.
The Tereshkova is a powerful replacement for the 30 years old Einstein class. Both ships carries roughly the same amount of supportships, but the modern tech and the Dreadnought like hull design make this ship at least four times stronger than the old Einstein class.

SAGAN CLASS:
The Sagan is a post reaper war starship, built for deep space mission. After the Systems Alliance repaired the Charon Relay they send the Sagan out to repair the other relays to etablish the network again and reconstruct the galactic society. Because they could not send out whole fleets due to the non-functioning Relays, the Sagan was built extremely tough for her long lone travel. Through additional armor plates at strategic locations the Sagan is more robust than a Kilimanjaro class dreadnought. The oversized mass driver weapons have all been replaced by smaller Thanix cannons, to obtain more space for internal structures like a fuel refinery, shuttlebays, Cargo rooms for Repair Drones and a Biosphere for additional food and Oxygen supplies. Along with the reprocessing plants the Sagan can operate independently up to 15 years, should this be necessary.
At the moment, the Sagan is the only ship of this class. After the Treaty of Farixen was cancelled by the circumstance of war, the Alliance spend most of their financial resources to build Dreadnoughts like the new Denali class. But it is planned, that the Sagan class someday replace the older Tereshkova class Carriers.
