The Nexus on her long way to Andromeda.
Even with Faster than light travel it will still take several human lifetimes to cover the 2,5 million lightyears to the destination in the Heleus Cluster of the Andromeda Galaxy. Survival of the Crew will be made by spending the majority of this voyage in cryostasis. A small escort of combat pilots will defend the station from any threats as long as they are in the Milky Way.
Once the Nexus arrives dark space between the Milky Way and Andromeda Galaxy the station will be only shielded by kinetic barriers during the centuries long journey.
