The Norexan class (also known as Valdore type or Mogai type) was developed by the Romulan Star Empire during the 2370's in response to the Dominion threat and the Klingon Negh'Var-class or the Federation Sovereign-class starships.
Though powerful, the D'deridex Class did not fare well during the conflict, and the Romulans soon had need for a powerful, highly maneuverable replacement.
Smaller and more moderately armed when compared to the D'deridex, the Norexan is nonetheless a formidable presence on the battlefield.  Highly maneuverable and incredibly fast, the Norexan can easily outflank even the most lethal opponents.
The IRW Valdore, flagship of Commander Donatra of the Romulan Imperial Fleet, was a Norexan-class ship.
Similar in design to the D'deridex-class warbird, the Valdore-type was a large, fixed-wing vessel, ranging in color from dark-green to brown.
With a wingspan roughly 900 meters wide, the vessel featured a large section extending forward to create a down-sloped head shape.
During peacetime, the Norexan is also better suited to handle scientific and exploratory missions.
