Overview card for the Batarian Starfighter
For the Batarians, slavery and scavenging is a integral part of their society. Their belief, that every species with fewer than four eyes are less intelligent and worthy, make nearly every colony in the Skyllian Verge a potential target. To prevent a full scale war with the Systems Alliance or the Citadel species, the Batarians set on denialable terrorist attacks with small frigates and gunships.
One of those ships is the Shes'lek class fighter a really multirole small attackcraft usable as Space Fighter, Dropship, Gunship or Bomber. Like the Mantis Gunship, the Shes'lek is highly modular and can be equiped for every possible mission. The Fighter is bigger than most counterparts of the Alliance but much more durable through the thick armor and Mass Effect Barrier shields. Their only drawback lies in their low manouverbility.
