"Welcome to Starbase Galahad"

Building a new Starbase in the last days with 3d Max and here is the first Wallpaper with the Galahad.

Starbase Galahad is a small, but well-resourced Outpost in the near of the romulan neutral zone. In the Dominion War she act as contact point for wounded personel.
The Station has also a construct yard for starfleet Peregrine class Fighter.

Your Thunderchild design looks more like a fast heavy destroyer than a frigate and those heavy phaser cannons make it a fast heavy destroyer GUNship. One with a ton of torpedos. 8 launchers? Do Jem'Hadar Attack Ships and Cardassian Galors run from this ship when it pounces on them? As Celticarchie said, its neatly elegant. And mean. Looks like a couple of your Thunderchild class ships could have a Dominion Battle Cruiser as a snack!

Yes, the ship is heavy armed, but only for her time. In the Dominion War the ship is more than 40 Years old. Her weapons are not so powerful as the Galaxy class or the Akira. In this time the Thunderchild is a supporter for the bigger or newer ships.
Eventually with a little refit she become her teeth back to kick some evil asses;-)

Its my Thunderchild class starship. I like the Excelsior subclass Centaur so i decide to make my own version.
