Would've been like the Xindi arc but even better. And the Dominion War saved DS9, did it not?
I will say that i always believed the ship to be an intrepid class, which i read somewhere was called that for the show as the name of the ship, intrepid did turn up and save the enterprise ass, also the NX registry was used cos she was the first warp 5 ship, in the other shows the NX was used on the defiant, excelsior and prometheus to show that there where the first ships built of there respective classes.
