Rachni Bioship Concept

A concept ship i worked a bit on. The Rachni Bioship.
I wanted for the Rachni, a insect like species, a uniqe kind of ship. More organic looking, like the Salarian ships, so i ask myself, why not a fully organic ship which grows instead of being built.
This is just a work in progress concept. Maybe i lay hand on it again, but not sure at the moment.

Rachni Bioships are biotechnically modified creatures grown in the Maskin Xul Solar System. They have no high intelligence and are thus more like a human dog. They feed from the strong radiation in the Maskin Xul System discharged from the red dwarf star.
The hulls of bioships are composed of living, and growing, organic matter through the use of a unique type of biotechnology capable of growing at a rapid rate. This has afforded the bioship a number of advantages such as hull regeneration, providing them considerable protection in battles despite the fact that they lack any true energy shielding system. The Rachni demonstrate in the Rachni Wars against the krogans that these bioships can grow from a new seed to 200 meters in just one week. If they can absorb enough radiation these ships can grow up to over 2 kilometer in length in around a year. Their spores can survive several hundred years in the open space, which is why after the Rachni War several cleanup missions were carried out.
